My boomer parents are trying to cash theirs out now and any gains they realize causes all of their healthcare premiums to skyrocket. My employer offers great match and I can deduct taxes for all of my contributions, but it just seems like a scam to me. For one thing there's no guarantee that the system we have 50 years from now will look anything like the one that boomers are cashing out of. With these plans I don't control my funds with keys like crypto so they could be diluted by inflation + bail-ins or just outright seized from me. If it's not one thing it's another. I'm probably going to kms if I am still wageslaving for 5 more years anyway. I'd rather take a chance with crypto, metals, and cash over some ponzi scheme boomer bullshit. Looking around at how broke and in debt everyone around me is, I'd say there's not going to be enough new suckers for boomers to cash out, even with the new "temporaray" repo help from the fed.

I swear on everything holy, millennials, Xers, and whatever remnants of boomers still occupying a desk and retired in place, you’re days of gainful employment are fucking over now that me and my boys are entering the workforce.
