I swing trade so I'm not heavy on fundamental analysis but the basic skim over is:

>P/E ratio compared against similar companies
>EPS
>how much debt the company has
>how much cash
>burn rate
>growth potential (is the sector hot right now or no? eg, is it a dude weed?)
>upcoming potential catalysts good or bad

From there it's all TA. The post you replied to, I was talking about swing entries on leveraged index ETFs. This is dicey territory as I think tomorrow has the potential to indicate the direction to expect for the coming month or more.

One way trip to liquidation station if that happens. This is why 3x ETFs are especially dicey. 2x usually survive.
