>Artificial famines are unique to communism
There's no such thing as an "artificial famine" you fucking retard. Famines are caused by natural disasters, but can be worsened by human factors. If this is supposedly unique to communism, then explain to me why 1 million Irish died because British colonial policy dictated that potatoes be shipped out of Ireland as well as the exorbitant rents charged by British landlords to impoverished Irish tenants? Why did tens of millions of Indians die during various famines during the British Raj because British colonial policy dictated locals to grow opium and other cash crops instead of food as well as continue to ship food out of India with no relief? This happened various times during the 18th and 19th centuries as well as in Bengal under Churchill. There have been far more famines under capitalism than communism. If these famines are unique to communism, then why do millions starve to death every year when we already grow more food than we need to feed the world's population and the amount of food wasted every year alone could feed all of China?
>That's a far cry from communism where everything is rationed and you can't even borrow money to buy food.
According to a CIA report, US and Soviet citizens consumed about the same amount of calories on a daily basis. The report also said that the Soviet diet was healthier.
