If you know what's good for you stay the fuck away from bonds. The decades-long bond bull market is done until the US resolves its debt situation. They cannot afford to pay you a positive real yield, so you won't be getting one. It doesn't matter what the rates are. If rates are 10% inflation will be 15% and you will lose 5%.

With bonds there is only tactical, short term trades betting on bear rallies or trying to capture the moment the Fed does YCC. But this is not for the passive investor.

Almost everything else will be fine over time if properly diversified.

You won't see it coming if you watch the nominal. Relative measures going up like that is the market calling JPow a bitch nigga. The 10y real yield / gold divergence is also saying that.
