I'll be getting $10k soon - what should I do with it? Here is what I've considered:

1) dollar-cost-average into QQQ once a month
2) Trade options (but only max of 10% at a time, so ~$1000)
3) buy 100 shares worth of something and then sell covered calls
4) yolo all in on some /smg/ meme stock.

anon it's due to theta decay. listen to what others have said and learn a bit more about options before diving into it. go to investopedia and read their articles on options. basically: as time moves forward AND as the stock price in question stays constant, the value of your option will decrease due to theta decay (aka time decay)
