Yes, and double eagles are $20 but not worth $20 dum dum but , it's still considered legal tender in the eyes of the government as it came from the US Mint, therefore it's a $50 gold piece.
Dividing it by $20 would even give him less $$$ but the purchasing power of just $1 gold dollar would be astronomical.
