When you buy XRP it isnt just a store of value you are literally buying a piece of their network. At some point XRP will no longer be listed for the public to even buy to own.

Inb4 "but there are other systems that can do transactions faster" those do not have the network already in place like ripple has been working on if ripple really is the standard, then future systems will have to piggyback off the XRP network that has been established anyways
