Yeah, it really did screw up people's perception of trading. Have plenty of friends that see it as a way to get rich quick and a whole lot of others that look at what I do as straight up gambling.

Granted, it is gambling if you don't know what you're doing but once you know a few things, strategies, and etc. then it's similar to like playing poker where you want the probability on your side. Get it in when it's good and run the hell out when it's good enough. No need to risk everything for home runs or chasing action. It's just not worth it at the end.
