Of course you have to deal with KYC, you moron. How else is someone going to let you trade either ownership stake in a public company or a futures contract on a commodity? You're trading ownership claims on real operations and/or real minerals that are to be delivered at the expiry of the contract, not make believe internet money. Don't like it? Go cry to the LBMA.

At any rate, you're in the lull before the start of a commodities explosion as everyone on earth remembers really, really quickly that you actually need minerals, food, and fuel to have a pleasant life. Short globalization, long anything having to do with copper and uranium. Also my pet play is to long Italian high end manufacturing centered in the Po Valley since those cities never actually globalized and kept almost the entire value chain not just in country or in province, but in city. They weren't competitive the last 30 years, but in the age of reshoreing, they're basically 20 years ahead of everyone else.
