Chainlink is still a killer app for decentralized oracles, but it needs to be less used for financial instrumentation OR it needs to be used even more. The more oracles, the cheaper a cost for a price response, and so the more decentralized your request can be.

His example doesn't work if youre employing 1000+ nodes for a price ticker, which all reputable institutions would be using. If NASDAQ is using 20000 nodes all over the world to get a BTC/USD price then you can take that to the bank.

Richard is just softshilling Uniswap to get HEX to pump. Chainlink oracles need mass adoption in order for the network to be secure. But otherwise he's bullshit.

Let's give a round of applause to these fat autists. I don't know about you, but I've made a lot of money hodling LINK over the past year.

I sold everything earlier tonight.

I've been in crypto a long time. I lost a FUCKTON of money in 2017/2018 because I didn't sell when I should have. Millions. I'm still a millionaire, but I'm a lot poorer than I should be, because I was a greedy little shit high on my gains in early 2018, delusionally thinking there was another 10x pump on the horizon.

Don't make the mistake I made. LINK just pumped massively. It's worth over $3 billion. For what? Some BS partnerships? No legit projects in crypto are actually using LINK for their oracles. They're sort of seen as a joke by the 'real' teams in the Bay Area and crypto developer community. But I held on to for the meme, because memes are everything in crypto.

The meme just went stale.

Take a look at LINK's price chart over the past month and tell me it's not about to dump hard. Get out while you still can, boys.

In order to help us achieve these goals, we do expect additional influxes of capital into Chainlink, which we plan to use for the continued growth of our team, expansion of resources available to the community, and support of integrations with high profile blockchain platform partners, data providers, and smart contract consumers of off-chain data/events. We do sincerely appreciate our community’s continued support and understanding as we expand the number of people working on Chainlink, and we will of course do our best to ensure that our expansion plans are accomplished responsibly, carefully managing the company's resources, capital and LINK, with a focus on continuing to create an overall positive effect on the Chainlink network over the long-term.

It doesn't make sense to release staking until there is de facto traffic to nodes, even if they don't supply high value data sources or API access

That will come in two forms: smart contract execution via arbitrum and verifiable randomness via VRF
Once those are out there is a reason for things like staking and most importantly an easily assess-able metric for node function and slashing

All of the above will be out before the end of the year

You guys know Chainlink is still dumping hundreds of thousands on your heads each day right? The circulating supply should be a lot higher. Check out this team wallet, CMC and Coingecko thinks it has 50mil, it only has 33mil after sending 500k every 16 days to binance. Follow the path of link...always ends up at binance.

If you look at the etherscans of the nodes on https://eth-usd-aggregator.chain.link/ most have around 400-700 LINK. That means you would just need that amount to run a node for staking.

Meaning even the LINKlets will make it.
