sounds like a cool dad.

My father knows all kinds of stuff about electronics and math, and he taught me absolutely nothing.

Bumping my questions from a previous thread:

>>26222737
Are there telegram groups like this in other countries, where you meet in person to exchange XMR for cash?

Is it possible to trade stocks for monero, maybe a better question would be, is there a broker that trades both stocks and crypto? Asking for a friend that might want to transfer stock gains into crypto.

I'm interested in mining but if I've understood correctly, for it to breakeven you would need a pretty ridiculous set up and low elec fees.
https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/xmr?HashingPower=73&HashingUnit=KH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=2000&CostPerkWh=0.12&MiningPoolFee=1
I have a crappy laptop that I could put to work, how do esitmate its hashrate?

Are you stacking pre 81 pennies anon? Easiest stack to build imo just sort through pocket change and you'll find some and even an occasional wheat penny.

Just a fun stack to build, wont make you rich but is indeed fun :3

Minimum 200 oz for starters, IMO. Welcome bro. Get comfy and remember not to drive yourself insane on the manipulated day-to-day spot.

Just filled my first tube of ASEs, honestly it is way more satisfying to have a full tube of them compared to my usual tubes of generics, but I still don't think the premium is worth it rn

If you think we're approaching serious inflation, then you need to consider the opportunity cost. Refi's tend to be around 1.0-1.5% of the loan, plus an app fee and appraisal. If you're sitting on a $200k mortgage, you're looking at a $3,000 expense to refi, which you're not going to make up until the inflation kicks in, at which point the difference between a 4.0% interest rate and a 2.0% rate is pretty much moot. You're better off taking the money you would spend on refinancing in putting it in an asset that you think will appreciate during the inflationary period (such as PMs).

>Silvertowne doesn't want to sell you one coin and listen to your autism about how there was a smudge.
>They want to sell JM Bullion 10,000 coins and leave enough on the bone for them to deal with you.
This 1000x. The other day someone was sperging out about buying an "BU" ASE and was fucking livid that it wasn't MS70-tier perfection. So he called them up to yell at the customer service and get it replaced. That one single coin - prolly cost the dealer more than its spot price because they had to pay for someone to answer the phone, flag an order, get the "bad" one shipped back, and then pay someone else to manually sort through their coins to look for one that they hoped would meet this 'tist's requirements.

One of these is ~92% gold. The other is 99.99% gold. They want the same price for each, so obviously one of these is a better price than the other.

Going through 5 pairs of $60 boots over the course of three years breaks even with you - while the money they haven't sunk into the next few years of boots can be put to other uses.
