Klondike Silver really sucked to watch because they have a great property but they not only have no real intention of ever mining the properly, or even selling to a bigger company, they seemed to be just a total pump / dump. Its going to be ages before that property ever sees any real proper activity again.

yes Klondike is a massive lower grade silver / lead / zinc deposit with blobs of incredibly high silver values mixed in. The Sandon area hosted at one time over 50 producing silver mines, between 1894-1954 producing almost 70 million ounces of silver from the big three mines alone. The area is chock full of ore, but thats not Klondikes issue, they got in too late this year for drilling and finding staffers for rehabbing their underground workings. Their mill is permitted but not up to date, though there are mill wrights on site working on it. Klondike suffered like many other projects from a tiny budget and low silver prices so interest in the location was minimal. Now that prices have increased their having issues ramping up due to as stated above.

One tidbit of info I recently learned about Klondike Silver recently is that they have a labor shortage. Due to all the junior mining activity currently going on, many projects are working on rehabbing existing underground workings. Klondike is having to wait as TMAC, Tyson and other contractors are all currently busy and all freelance / jippo miners are currently contracted out as well. The labor pool for underground guys is tiny right now, many projects may end up in a similar situation needing to wait for new workers to be trained and certified.

ahh hard to say, because there mostly primary silver / lead / zinc with some gold and copper thrown in. I am guessing anywhere between $25-40 an ounce silver. The mines in Sandon could make money at $25 an ounce silver, and they have hundreds of thousands of tonnes sitting in the mines waiting for it to go up.

I can give you guys the minfile links to dozens of old silver mines across the US and Canada that were abandoned because of the value of silver / lead dropped. The mines around the ghost city of Sandon BC for example have hundreds of thousands of tonnes worth of ore left but its not going to be easy to just up and get mining those deposits again. It takes at least 5-10 years to figure out how to get a mine going these days, its even worse when dealing with rebuilding abandoned ones.
