Eh, that depends reallly. I agree it is one of the most passive, but you always have to keep an eye on your investments. You always hear stories about people skimming money, and there are plenty of opportunities for property managers to do that in addition to the risk of them just being shitty managers in the first place. For me, as a more paranoid person with a small portfolio, i active manage all my properties so i have direct control of expenses, and its less stressful for me than letting someone else manage it. I only spend about 8 hours a month doing it, get to pay myself the management cost, and rest easy knowing things are in good hands (my own).
