As someone who worked for financial enterprises I know that an public Blockchain is no option.

-Businesses don't want their business data public available.

-The data should be removable, in my countries you are obligated to fully delete the data of a customer when he or she asked for it.

-business don't want to risk their reputation by using a public chain. Think for example the pictures that where loaded through the ethereum chain.

-businesess don't want to be tied to unknown transaction/token prices

-businesess want to have SLA's and the possibility to sue someone when the solution don't deliver what they are asking for.

Companies don't care of the higher goals of Blockchain. They just want a DB from which the data is hard to remove and that they can trust some parties more.
