A Letter To Our Community

On behalf of the Wanchain team, I would like to comment on both our progress and the current state of our industry. The past months have been a difficult time for everyone in the space. Projects, individuals, and ICOs have all suffered the same fate: uncertainty. Through it all, we have not lost track of our mission. We are committed to delivering everything in our whitepaper and more.

It is important to reflect on the tremendous progress we have made thus far. In summary, we released the Mainnet (1.0) with Monero Ring Signatures and One Time Addresses, and we were the first to achieve interoperability with the Ethereum blockchain (2.0) with the use of Secure Multi-Party Computation (sMPC) and Shamir’s Secret Sharing Scheme (SSSS). The importance of 2.0 is that it proves our cross-chain mechanism works in practice. With the release of 3.0 in late 2018 (integration with Bitcoin) we embark upon a new journey, one that proves that our cross-chain mechanism not only works with similar codebases but with any blockchain: whether private or public.
