You control your private key you control your funds and nobody can seize them.

I say yes. i've seen too many things go up in value in my lifetime. you can see it was because of QE/easy money but I'd rather take a gamble.

if you want to be more objective about it there there are network metrics that you can look at to see if it's actually growing - transactions and # of unique wallets.
Bitcon's network of users is valuable, not so much the tech itself. If I copied the entirety of facebooks' code and started facebuuk, it would be useless because none of the users follow me over to facebuuk.
you can also value it with the cost of production. you can see the cost of electricity as either as an investment or as a "sunk cost" but even then people do value sunk costs. it cost something to mine, so therefore it must be worth something.
also stuff like this that bitcoin users generate to get people to buy. it's part scam / great fool but there's a lot of truth and utility behind it too.
