I spent all day learning about and analyzing leading indicators, but there are so many mixed signals. I think I will just buy SPY, collect divvies, and sell the occasional covered call. Seems comfy

I've got about $75k in debt already (Canada). I didn't intentionally rack that up. It was just a bunch of stupid decisions and also losing my job.

I should have around $9,000 in credit remaining on my credit card. Should I use it? Because I would basically get 70% off the repayment. Not sure if you have this in the US but I can file a "consumer proposal" here, where all of my assets are protected, and I only have to pay back ~30% of the debt on a monthly basis over 5 years... and from the time it's done being paid, it kills your credit for 3 more years (or possible to pay it off early which will start the 3 year clock earlier).

Also can't look suspicious buying a bunch of shit and then filing the consumer proposal since they'll obviously be able to look at statements.
