In my opinion the scale was spot on, but they failed at figuring out who they needed to hire.

Their goal of hiring 200+ people is great. The hiring 100+ HR managers is a disaster.

What should have happened is that they hire in teams. 1 Manager to 10 people. Each Manager needs a background in tech, and 2 hires need to be experienced devs. The other 8 can be newbie coders, technical writers (non-devs), and an intern. Hell you can even be "new age" and hire a sensitivity coach or whatever the fuck they are called. Each team created in this way has a goal. You can do agile, it's not hard.

But instead they do exactly as all other techscam companies do to rugpull their VCs. They hire Stacy, Becca, and Jamal and wonder why their product isn't going anywhere. Half of the employees at CL are managers.

If you are still holding after all this, get out on the next pump.
