You are emotionally incontenent, you attempt to rationalize your corrupted emotional impulses through intellectual wankery.

>I just shouldnt do things to please them or to "get them to like me" and should just do what I want to do

Yes. It is not sustainable to be constantly trying to mold your values around others expectations and expressed desires.. This can be summed up with the saying 'it is a lot easier to be honest than be a liar'. This is due to the fact that if you are a liar, you are constantly having to overthink what you say to make sure it is consistant etc, if you are honest you just act from the cuff.

This can be applied to your own authenticity and values as a person. Molding your character to other peoples expectations and expressed desires is liking being a liar.

------

Once you are authentic and rooted in your core authentic, honest values as a person, you can then navigate social situations to where you are advocating your own self interest, with empathy and higher thinking. It is not so much about being selfish, rather reasonably advocating for yourself. I think you will find, your interactions with people/women after taking these things into account will be a lot more positive for both parties.
