Last year when they released smart contracts their platform was shit. Now theyve had a year to improve it and its definitely becoming easier to use. They made smart contract development much easier launching their Cirrus network and it's catching up with ETH. It's attracting quite a few industry software developers and ETH devs. I've been active in the Hackathon and with 24 hours to go there was already 6+ completed submissions. They will be announcing winners on 20th January but expect some interesting applications.
