Why do my rewards keep rising every week? Who is using this before staking even exists?

Another sunday, another bi-weekly payment. Got 8.33 Link, not bad huh?
Completely passive income from just holding a bit of LP, which will allow me to stake my Link and earn even more rewards (Linkpool is ready and just waiting for Sergey to finish and release staking).

Can you imagine the rush to staking pools once all the holders realize they aren't technically versed to run their own node?

Okay what the fuck guys. I lived three years spending all the money from my wagey job to buy LINK.

Now I have to buy this shitty ERC-20 to even STAKE my STACK. WTF!?!??!?!?
WHY DO I NEED ANOTHER SHITCOIN TO MAKE MONEY WITH THIS CRUMMY RUSSIAN PIECE OF TRASH?? YOU JUST WANT TO HOLD IT?

Linkpool shares are heavily crashing as we speak. In a matter of days the price went from above 60 ETH to now at around 40 ETH per share.
Thats a -33% and if ETH keeps going up, LP shares won't be able to hold the 40 line.
Worse comes to worse, there is very little liquidity to sell into, so anyone wanting to cash out a single LP would crash the price another 10% down.

I'm willing to catch the falling knive however. I'm willing to buy your LP at 40. Lets use this thread to arrange OTC trades.
Any amount of LP is fine, just write how much you want to sell.

While Sergey was busy dumping Link in batches of 500k, the only productive member of the Chainlink team, Jonny Huxtable was working tirelessly to improve market.link further:
https://medium.com/linkpool/chainlink-market-reference-data-and-the-analytical-future-31fec8fa7ca1

This is amazing by the way. Market.link is the Google of the oracle world, a search engine to allow smart contract creators to find the data streams they are looking for and also for node operators to list their node and offer their data.

But thats just a taste of whats to come to Linkpool. Many people here still believe that LP's success is dependant on Chainlink's adoption, but thats not true.

Oh you bet that there will be hundreds of pools, most of them just trying to steal your Link.
The only pool that can be fully trusted is Linkpool. The founder, Jonny Huxtable, is an official member of the Chainlink dev team.

We haven't had a LP thread in some time. This is the quiet before the storm.
Once collateralization of nodes gets implemented (when Sergey gets his shit together) all the Coinbase normies will rush to staking pools to get rewards for holding Link.
Hmm, I wonder which pool most of them will choose, maybe the one which is founded by a member of the official Chainlink dev team?

Anon, if you are holding Link you need to be prepared. Do you plan to run your own node? If so, read into that asap, as its not easy to do so.
If you plan to stake with a pool, then read into Linkpool: https://www.linkpool.io/

The biggest fuck up is not realizing that the Chainlink Marketplace is part of the only Link staking pool and that
all rewards from there + from staking + from Node as a Service + ETH staking + whatever else Jonny puts out will get paid to Linkpool holders.

Buy yourself some LP or stay poor forever.

Where are my fellow Linkpool marines at?
Here is one thing that I really don't understand, maybe one of you fine people can explain this.
Linkpool shares are an asset that produce Link as a sort of dividend payment. So when the Link token goes up in price, you'd expect something that produces Link to also go up in price, right?

However everytime Link moves up against ETH it results in sell pressure on the LP/ETH trading pair. Its clear that this can't and won't continue in the long run.
Just imagine Link and ETH having the same USD price, at some point along the way the LP share price in ETH would also go up.
For the time being we have to endure the paradoxical behaviour of the DEX participants

Who else here comfy getting paid every two weeks?
You can be part of this, anon. You too can get passive income paid in Chainlink, for just holding 0.04 LP shares.
Linkpool is the first and most trusted staking pool for Chainlink. The founder, Johnny Huxtable is part of the official Chainlink dev team, so LP is as legit as it gets.
>What's the point of a pool?
Glad you ask. Running a Chainlink node is hard, as you need to 1) provide hardware, 2) run both a full ETH node and the CL node and 3) also provide the API data that gets requested by the market.
The alternative is to stake with Linkpool, which takes a 25% cut of the node earnings and gives you 75%.
The 25% cut is then distributed to all Linkpool shareholders. So by holding LP and staking Chainlink you have two income sources: 75% from your staked tokens and then a part of the whole pool's earnings.

There hasn't been a LP thread in ages and given that the DEX is now up for exactly a year seems like a good time to reflect.

First lets educate some nu-linkers.
>What is Linkpool? Some sort of scam that tries to take my 200 Link from me?
No, Linkpool is the first, most trusted and currently only Link staking pool, where instead of running your own node, the pool takes 25% of the node earnings and gives you 75% for lending your Link tokens. (This is trustless via smart contract).

>Sounds cool, but why do I need a Linkpool share?
Once everyone can run a node, thousands of Link holders will realize that they aren't capable of doing so and will rush to staking pools. Linkpool requires you to hold a bit of LP in order to stake, this is how they deal with the rush.
Note that the main purpose of the shares is to distribute earnings. Every penny that Linkpool makes gets distributed among the 4000 shares. So you generate passive income without even staking any Link. LP holders already get biweekly payments right now.
>How do I buy LP shares?
Download Metamask, connect your hardware wallet to it and then go to https://staking.linkpool.io/dex

I've been watching the LP price since the DEX went live last November. 1 LP always traded in the range between 4k-6k Link (note that LP trade against ETH, but I find it much more useful to look at the LP/Link ratio).
Currently LP shares trade below 3k Link which seems cheap given historical prices. I bought 4 shares in the 41-43 ETH range in the last 2 weeks.

Where are my fellow 186 crowdsale elite bros?
Link is correcting, but Linkpool shares holding their ETH price. Number of holders increasing every day, DEX has more volume than some centralized exchanges (Coinmetro).
Dividends steadily coming in every 14 days. It feels so comfy holding LP next to a stack of Link.

>Linkpool shares are way too expensive, no way I'm paying this much JUST to stake some Link.
I'm hearing this over and over again, so I wanted to give an explanation why LP are traded at almost 50 ETH per share right now.

There are only 4000 shares in total and every penny Linkpool earns from all income sources get distributed among all shareholders. The income sources are as follows:
1. Effortless and trustless staking, where Linkpool takes a 25% cut of the rewards for doing all the work and gives the stakers 75%.
2. Node as a Service (NaaS): You pay a fix USD fee to use the Linkpool infrastructure for your node, but you get to decide which data to offer and you keep all of the profits.
https://medium.com/linkpool/announcing-node-as-a-service-2034ee42d2d9
3. Chainlink Marketplace, designed service for finding Chainlink nodes, adaptors, jobs and data sources.
https://medium.com/linkpool/announcing-the-first-chainlink-marketplace-a0dbfd5d13e3

The staking priority you get as a LP shareholder is just the cherry on top. In a few years one LP will earn enough passive income to sustain a humble neet life.
Even at 48 ETH per share Linkpool is currently valued at only ~1.7% of Chainlink's total market cap. Is that too expensive for the largest and most trusted staking pool? Nope, I don't think so.
