Why are people so into The Big Short? It's normie shit painting the banks as the complete bad guys. The basis of the story is factual, but the facts and narrative are so stretched for political purposes that the message becomes obscured. They leave out the fault of the government and investors that incentivized this. While there are tons of crooks in banking, they weren't all "in" on some scam. When the system works, people hate the banks and call them useless. When it doesn't work, it's all their fault.

Margin Call is a significantly better movie and a lot closer to the reality of what happened there.
