"Yggdrasil was killed" is probably my favorite schizo-tier conspiracy theory. On one hand, there's lots of ancient literature such as the Nordic pagans suggesting that were gargantuan trees. And the current earth does have very big trees, such as the California redwoods or the African Baobab trees. so the possibility of said monstrous trees doesn't seem far fetched.
On the other, who would be smart enough cut up said enormous trees but be dumb enough to leave the stumps behind?
