I live in an area where renting is dominant and there's a lot of families. I have enough money to put a down payment on a house and enough to pay a comfy mortgage.

I'm going to be living in the house for a couple years, but is it worth the future rent and passive income?

I don't make a lot of money, but the mortgage would be cheaper than my rent. I've already gotten approved for the loan and I've negotiated a fantastic price for a house.

but I'm not sure if this is a good investment
I don't have a ton of savings left after this, but I feel like the rental income in the future would be worth the hassle.

Anyone here a landlord or land owner?
