>being this illiterate

computer programs aren't as dangerous because they are CENTRALIZED. If Paypal's software fucks up, you still get your money back. If a smart contract fucks up, billions of dollars could evaporate forever.

Ethereum's co-founder couldn't write a multisig smart contract without fucking up twice. The second time the money was lost forever.

two more points:
-Ethereum's smart contract language is new and worse than java
-smart but evil programmers could intentionally place hard to detect vulnerabilities in the code to steal people's money, so incompetence isn't the only concern.
smart contract has a future, but it won't be in ethereum.

>boomer
I'm a 28 yo programmer, retarded nigger.

ethereum is a special case, it tries to do many things, like a car that can into an airplane or a submarine, it sucks at every role

>When you have to FUD computer software

this is a fact of software, and when it comes to smart contracts, it's 1000 times worse. Smart contracts are usually written in blockchain specific languages, which are new and not tested enough, the interpreter/complied is not tested enough either.

You suggestion to replace a language and blockchain independent protocol with a smart contract is simply retarded/ignorant.

>Chainlink is not about securing the data source. The user or node selecting the actual data source bears the responsibility. Same as in Interledger's case.

you select a data source and trust it, with Interledger, you trust no one, the money cannot be lost or stolen by intermediaries, if a connector misbehaves, the money is returned to you.

>The "third party" is whatever is holding the escrow
both of you are in control of the funds thanks to the magic of encryption, you don't have to cuck yourself to some shitlink data source and pray to god it doesn't give you bad data.

you are ignorant and dumb. smart contracts are very risky. especially in ethereum (quorum is based on ethereum). and ethereum's language is worse than javascript.

a payment system wouldn't have payments as a plugin, it would payment features built in the protocol and well tested (like Ripple). JP Morgan moves trillions of dollars every day.

>tx fees for all 3 cryptos are below 10 cents now

yes, because we are in a bear market.

Eth collapsed because of fucking cryptokitties. Imagine if it had 10 popular apps.

Bitcoin: Lightning is still far away. Routing is a real problem with no solution yet, and even if it gets solved, opening a channel would be expensive.
Proof-of-work is expensive and slow. Even the most hardcore bitcoiners will tell you, proof-of-work blockchains do NOT scale.

I can understand why. You will lose the second spot again.
