Some DD here:

DCAA Anon here with some information on WKHS and the bid challenging process. I know I normally keep to /Pol and /news, but this seems like important information to share. The contract itself was for $478M, which would not have instantly made WKHS a “major prime” contractor, as that threshold is $500M in any given year, but because OSK already holds many largest DoD contracts they are now considered Major Prime, and with that a new set of rules apply to this contract. In order for a bid that has been approved for a Major Prime DoD Contractor to be overturned you’re going to need a vote by the CASB.

Now the CASB almost never approves changes of waivers, in fact getting the 5 members of the CASB to get together and vote on something is like trying to tackle a greased pig, and currently they are “working on” huge cases between Lockheed and Raytheon and one between United Technologies and Raytheon, three of the four biggest and most important companies to our military, and thus our economy. The board members include Lesley A Field, the Chair, who is a long time Bush appointee who came up through the Department of Transportation with the help of the Bush Oil Family, who hates EV and is a huge fan of oil pipelines. Anita Bales, head of DCAA, an individual always afraid of losing her job and constantly toeing the line to avoid notice, she will vote with the Chair 100% of the time. Laurie L. Schmidgall, Director of Cost Policy, Corporate, The Boeing Company, I think enough has been said here with the company she works for, she is much more interested in dealing with Raytheon, Lockheed and UT battling it out than dealing with mail trucks. The final two members are the head of the GSA and then an Academic member.

TLDR: There’s an ice cubes chance in hell that the CASB even looks at this decision and at least 3 of the 5 votes will side with OSK.

Sorry WKHS bros, but unless you think this valuation is worth it without the USPS contract it is OGRE.

WKHS has only ever built 7 vans, DeLorean on the other hand produced over 9,000 vehicles. You’d do better to find a WKHS van and buy it as an investment than you would investing in that Trump Scam of a stock. 30 year from now a WKHS Van will be a priceless collectors item and WKHS stock with have $0 value.
