so tell me, how and when are they going to distribute these coins to the population? they need to convince every icelandic citizen (young or old, small or big, free or busy, with a computer not) to create a wallet and verify it with "the developers" in order to receive the coins. the other option is to cash out the coins and give citizens fiat money, which will reduce currency value to the depths of hell. also, this is not endorsed by the government or national banks, so it's up to the few individuals who created the coins to do all this work.
