You can find the studies on the web. Most seem to recommend a heavy dose four times per year. IIRC the dose is 3g to 5g. Also, they recommend a very controlled comfortable environment with dim lights and with music selected and timed to match a typical trip pattern.

It's trivial to grow them, you just have to follow sterile procedures. Use a pressure cooker to kill off any other fungal spores and bacteria in your growth medium before you inoculate the strain you want to grow, use standard lab practices for keeping it sealed.

Shroomery.org is a legit site for tutorials.

You're actually stupid. It's not possible to become addicted to psilocybin mushrooms because you cannot take them frequently. Once you take them, it takes weeks before your brain is capable of having the same intense trip again.

I'll take the word of actual psychiatric studies showing the effectiveness of psilocybin treatment for depression over some "muh pot needles addicts!!!" moron on a Haitian mud cookie recipe forum.

What OP is talking about is not some "spiritual journey" crap, it's about effecting medium-term changes in your brain's feedback loops. It's not permanent, which is why they repeat the treatment every three months, but it apparently works even on people for whom existing medications don't work.
