Hello Biz
I was just wondering if anyone here had a bit of an idea as to how U.S tax works internationally.
I have lived in another country almost my entire life and paid my taxes faithfully in that country of which I am a permanent resident, but I am still a U.S citizen. I have considered moving to the U.S in the next year or so (hopefully,) but have never actually filed a tax return with the IRS. I'm getting mixed messages about what my requirements are. If I have been paying my taxes in the country that I live in, did I need to file taxes with the IRS in the U.S as well? What are the ramifications for not doing so?
