I always operate on the assumption that none of this shit is real and there's no limits on the bullshit they'll pull to try to get their desired outcomes. Secret balance sheets, fake stats, stealth bailouts, sanctioned bank market manipulation, sky's the limit. So I likewise assume ESF has their foot on it somehow, for reasons of not wanting a self-feeding collapse or "disorderly market conditions" or w/e.

There's nothing at all at stake for Boeing. No risk. They're an extension of the state and will be salvaged no matter what happens.

Not like they will face competition either. Airbus is the same. The only real competition would be Chinese manufacturers and I really doubt western regulators will allow them much entry to western markets. They'll cite safety and regulatory compliance but really it'll be about nat sec and protectionism.

Also their IT dept is excellent place to work if you want to be reasonably well paid to do basically nothing.
