although you might want to look at the area and check the crime index, i see a lot of these pretty houses get posted where people say "$25k! what a deal" and then you find out it's a high crime, primarily black neighborhood where the chance of having a B&E or assault is high

I started looking at property ~50km outside of Vancouver and it's really not much better. To get a zero bedroom 400sqft bachelor apartment an hour outside of the city is seriously ~$250-300k
