>Pewter is something I hadn't considered

Glad to help expand your options. Most people don't pay any attention to Pewter so you can enjoy minimal competition and dirt cheapie prices relative to sterling silver items. We're nearly at $15 a pound for tin and often you can get big pieces weighing multiple pounds for a dollar or 2, it's a no-brainer personally but since it involves work it won't appeal to everyone.

>Estate sales might be a better option?

Some goodwills screen out their sterling now to sell online, but I've had good luck in Colorado even when I wasn't nearly as motivated. And I found a big .800 silver platter with 926 grams of pure for $4 at my goodwill here over the summer which was a heckin' valid score. Antique malls, flea markets, yard sales, and of course estate sales/auctions are great but you want to show up early to those estate sales because the pros usually clean up pretty quick. Many people overlook weighted stuff like candlestick holders but I ain't afraid to hoover up and break that shit down. If you bring a pocket scale with you while out hunting that can help when you're not sure if something is a decent deal.

A few days ago I went to an indoor flea market/antique mall I hadn't visited in a while and scored about 155 grams worth of sterling for $26, the handles (usually used on dinner knives) of the salad servers weren't marked but I recognized them as the Towle Old Master design where the blades were stamped "Sterling Handle - Stainless Blade" without marks ever on the handles themselves. Good to be able to recognize stuff like that. I also stack Pewter which you've probably seen tons of and which makes silverless hunts not total wastes of time, its melting temp is even lower than lead and you can sell bars on ebay for $11-12/lb but I'm waiting for the Tin moonshot Rick Rule was talking about before selling any.

Don't be discouraged fren, the silver is definitely out there!

>definitely want to get some but the premiums have kept me away

Collect scrap and have them make some of your own!

I just got back from the local indoor flea market and did pretty well, got me 3.5 pounds of pewter (mostly tin) for 14 bucks (worth about $11-12/lb) and scored some decent sterling, the main deal being a 72 gram cup that was priced 9.99 but was also 20% off (topkikel) so only 8 bucks. With the Silver handled salad servers (5.99) and cake knife I got ~155 grams of sterling ($122 melt value) for $26. Instant gains my frens.

My cheap March-bought buttcoin has been doing great, but I'd like to see those crypto pumping retards stack Silver every day for way below spot. Don't let them get under your skin fellas, PMs are the only real money and sooner or later that ponzi scheme will crumble (hopefully not until after after I sell my bags for some more Gold lel).
