anon the reason why old people refuse to understand inflation is simple.
every few generations people get the idea to make a fiat currency. in the beginning its great, because all the inflation you're creating takes decades to make any difference, then all of a sudden the inflation takes off and destroys the next 2 generations wealth. then people revolt and demand a real currency back by metals.
But back to the point, boomers willingly fucked over their children and grandchildren for easy money, so they refuse to admit it. other wise they'd have to take responsibility for their actions
