Gold is going to 6k, Platinum is historicaly above 1:1 gold:platinum ratio.

On a relatively recent historical basis, platinum is indeed cheap and probably should be bought, especially if you have a lot of capital to invest and are willing to take a little more risk. Platinum would have to roughly quadruple to get to its more recent relative price to gold. Depending on what ratio of silver to gold you use--50:1 or 20:1--silver would have to double or quintuple to reach its "appropriate" ratio to gold.

You do have to recognize, though, that platinum, like silver, is also an industrial metal which means its price will be heavily affected by its industrial uses. In the case of platinum, one of the primary industries that use platinum are catalytic converters for diesel engines. After the diesel engine scandal in Europe, industrial demand for platinum has dropped and that's one of the reasons for its depressed price. It's possible that in light of the extremely high prices for palladium that manufacturers for automobiles that use an ICE will replace the palladium in their catalytic converters for platinum.

However, that will take time and we are in the throes of a global depression which will very severely curtail automobile sales.

If you're taking physical possession of your precious metals, it can't hurt to buy a bit of platinum. Platinum seems to costs more to store in a vault than gold so that's something to consider if you're keeping your platinum in a vault. Of course, depending on what you believe the "proper" ratio of gold:silver should be, you might conclude that silver is a better bargain than platinum.

One final note: Marc Faber, who has over his career been a pretty successful investor, is of the opinion that platinum is cheap. I agree with his opinion and have bought platinum over the past two or so years but have yet to see any real profits. My purchase prices were $1,000/ozt, $800/ozt, and $675/ozt. When it touched $625/ozt, I was too frightened and sickened to buy any more.
