I work an IT job as a "consultant". The hardest skill I have is honestly wireframing and querying a database. That's it I don't code or do analytics or anything that's real work. I make 80k and I work about 35 hours a week, all from home with the exception of one day. I've literally gone days in my pajamas being on "standby" whenever there's dead time, so I just read, lift, or vidya.

I always thought I was slacking or about to be fired, but I got a fucking raise recently, and they want to promote me for "all the good work" i do. All my other coworkers are all /comfy as well.

Something still doesn't feel right, but it's been almost a year plus of this. Especially when I hear people with real tech jobs working 60 hours in an office.
