This is what happens when a bunch of people with no prior trading experience hop onto a bandwagon and then they're fed trading advice or are learning "trading and economics" from their eco-chamber full of morons who are either in a general full of other suckers who've latched onto this bandwagon being peddled by others to make them richer, or in some subreddit.
Ultimately, everything they've ever known when it comes to trading has been built up to backup their situation and beliefs. Happens everywhere and is certainly not exclusive to GME. Hell, a lot of the crypto threads here are this. Extends even beyond /biz/-related subjects.

It should also be no surprise that the GME stuff also just so happens to coincide with NFTs, crypto, etc. Projects of no value can easily latch onto new blood that have already been giving false information or a narrative. They so whole-heartedly believe it.
Some no doubt are Schizos. Some have been fed so much bullshit and come in from an angle of such inexperience that you're looking at 2 or so years of experience of being inexperienced. It's like teaching/training someone horrible programming practices. If you leave them for 2+ years, sure, they might have "experience", but what they have is experience of being wrong and ineffective. Of being led astray.
