Hiring managers, does a short interview always mean a bad thing? Working in I.T.

Came from an interview that lasted 10 minutes. They have multiple of these positions open. They introduced themselves and then asked me to tell them a little about myself. Did my best not to be autistic and I think I did well on that.
I got canned from my last position over minor things, but things that were in the policy. I explained it and told them about the things I have done to improve on that and even got a laugh out of the joke I made.
They then asked 5 or 6 technical questions, looked at each other and asked if they had any other ones, and thanked me for my time and let me know they have others applying.
Sounds like I bombed it, though I am indeed qualified. I went to say "I know my past is sketchy, but give me a chance and I won't let you down" but they interrupted me to say "ah don't worry about it."

Here's hoping.
