Wondering if someone can help me out. I'm pretty insistent on hitting an 800+ credit score by the time I buy a house.

Aside from doing all the usual things, paying your bills on time, etc, one of the things factored in is having a diversity line of credit. I was sitting at 777, but just to be safe, I just opened 2 additional credit cards (3 total), which hit my credit score pretty hard (down to 719), but I won't need it for a few years, so it's fine.

The only thing I haven't done, that I apparently should be doing, is diversifying my credit lines. It says to get a loan, whether mortgage loan, auto loan, student loan, etc; but the problem is: 1) I don't need any of those things at the moment, 2) they build interest against me, which I'm not fond of paying.

Is there a way to obtain non-credit card credit lines without having it build interest against you?
