Honestly you should be ok either way, sounds like you have ~ a years worth of savings should the job not work out, so room to stack or not, make sure you have at least a month of food/water for yourself/dependents, reasonable first aid stuff, and a firearm you can actually use properly.

If you have all that you are better off then 99% of the people anyways, that is really all you can do
