Ok /biz/, I'm currently studying a BA (Honours) Business Studies and Management degree from home whilst working part-time, I'm about 70% of the way through my first year.

I haven't picked a specialty yet and I was thinking of leaving the degree open, however I will likely go on to do a Masters. I have really enjoyed the Economics segment, and I'm fairly sure this is what I will want the Masters to be focused on.

My question is, is Economics a good specialization? Is it a good sector to work in, is the money good, how competitive is it, etc? I'm in the UK if that makes any difference, however I would be willing to travel/relocate abroad in the future if necessary.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
