Because you think it’s undervalued and it will boom? To preserve wealth since the fed’s monetary policy is destroying the value of the dollar but you don’t really care about the price booming? Because you think the monetary system will eventually change in our lifetimes and when that happens some sort of pm-backed currency will be adopted and, consequently, pms’ prices will explode? Because you think all other assets are overvalued and you don’t know where to put your money? Because you don’t trust banks and want to hold part of your wealth in real assets? Because of an hypothetical apocalyptical scenario where you expect to have to trade your pms for food?

Do you keep track of the gold:silver ratio when you buy gold and/or silver? And do you follow any other ratio related with pms (dow:gold ratio, for example)?

Do you have any gold:silver allocation ratio?

Do you have one of those metal verifier machines to check if the coins/bars you’re buying are the real thing? If yes, which one do you have? Or what tests do you do to check if your pms aren’t fakes?
