They create synthetic copies of expensive chemicals.
So if the rare squalene chemical costs $10 per ounce, AMRS can create synthetic squalene in mass and sell it for $5 if they so desired.
They have successfully done this with 1 molecule, and the market around one product they created with this molecule is worth 1 billion, already. (biosance - all over insta and the cosmetics world)
they have also recently made "the holy grail of sweeteners" with a new sugar substitute.
since then, they have gone on to revamp their r&d with AI machine learning, and now have 300 new molecules in the pipeline (INCLUDING CBD AND THC!!!!!!!)
and are now able to create with new efficiency and ease.
the past 5 years investors kep an eye on it, but the risk wass too high with their expenses.
NOW that risk has disappeared and its going through the roof.
