I started by making a rosary and praying the rosary a few times each week. the rosary mysteries that you read each day are basically summaries of the key cannonical moments in the life of Jesus, and repeating them regularily is a great way to internalize His story. structured prayers are also a lot easier to integrate into your life than free form prayer i find, as a novice practitioner. (not a catholic btw and you dont need to be one to pray the rosary)
