I get the purpose of it but I think it's strange that we grow up being told "one voice one vote" when in reality the worth of that one vote is different depending on where you live.

I have more grievance with the whole give-power-to-one-person thing, which creates a two party system. Instead of voting on a "king" for four years it would be nice if the president was 101 people voting on all the decisions, it allows for many parties. Even small ones could get at least one representative.

I wouldn't know unless it was a real situation OP. In the past this has happened to me but with smaller amount, I did inform the cashier then. I think it depends on both my mood and how the cashier acts. Maybe on how crowded the store is too?
