Earlier this weekend VIX futures were up ALOT, and index futures down 4-5%.
Then today the White House press conf announces they are EXTENDING the shutdown until April 30. And now VIX futures go flat, and index futures only down 1%.

How does that make ANY SENSE AT ALL!?? Are they still doing end of quarter rebalancing or are they just completely blind to the reality of an extended shutdown further killing jobs and business?
