I believe that it is very important for Westerners to look at two countries' economic situation and government relationship with banks. Japan is a fascinating one (just to consider the Nikkei has yet to recover from 1989 is unimaginable in the U.S.A.). Argentina is also fascinating because the government is so weak and private banks are so strong. I do not know which way the West will go - but, these two examples are often on my mind economically speaking.

I am also unconvinced of conversion to a digital economy and whether or not any segment of any Western government holds the best intentions of its people as important. So whether it's Fed vs Banks in U.S.A. - I am unconvinced there's a meaningful difference. Though that might change and I am willing to re-evaluate.
