if the stock market is like a house, then the headline index numbers are like the square footage, and the individual stocks like the actual rooms. days like today, the index goes up with mega-cap leadership, it's like putting up scaffolding - they're expanding the house, everyone is excited.
but at the end of the day, when the scaffold comes down, not everyone's room will be bigger.
i expect tomorrow will be more of the same, MOAR scaffolding, and as you can see everyone is excited thinking nvidia is gonna get another new annex at the expense of all the other roommates. but that's not the case. we're going to see continued share gains from the bottom of the index.
of course i could be wrong. but i don't think that i am and i think this is the way you should look at this market. i think dow pumps tomorrow and when they're done with all the renovations, i think the russell/extended market ends up with more square footage, and i think the KOMP etf is the way to play it.
