If you're still here, I'd appreciate some of your wisdom. I've started writing a program in Java to emulate yours and I'm curious what trends I should make it look for.

It seems like a decent place to start would be sudden upward movements and unexpected changes in volume. If I decide to hook it up to a platform that allows daytrading, it might even be able to catch explosions before they can really happen, but I won't know until I simulate it when the market opens back up again next week.
