Day 1 of not cooming

This is a drunk thought but hear me out.

In ancient times, it was objectively the best time to be Warren Buffet type rich. You can build an army and conquer lands to enshrine yourself in the history books forever. You can construct any kind of sick and twisted game you have in mind like laughing in a colloseum at wagies having to battle each other to death.
You can construct any pyramids or any world wonder to yourself by using wagie labor.
You could basically do anything with wealth, there was never a better time to be wealthy.

But now we live in the 21st century where the systems in place are virtually unchangeable. The rich are bored with their money, their options are hookers and cocaine and thats it. There is no taking over the world or any kind of human right abuses they can do. All the rich can do is just CONSOOM more like peasants do just with fancier bath tubs and tvs. Probably why so many rich people are just as depressed as wagies.

Eventually we will have VR come to the point of being too close to reality to make any real difference. At that point, wealth, gold, diamonds, everything about being rich has lost its value. A new and better life would be available at the cost of a $200 electricity bill at the end of every month.

Does anyone else get demotivated at trying to "make it" because the future is so clear. Even now before we made it, its already been lame since after WW2. Whats the point of making it besides a million dollars or 2 just so you dont have to work? There is no point in acquiring anything more than that...
