Ten years ago there was this argument about crypto that it was too easy to clone and make your own and that this would in aggregate dilute the whole crypto space over time.
This theory seems to have predicted very accurately what we are witnessing now.
Just couple of years ago we had 20,000 coins, now there are about 2,2 millions coins.
We have more coins created in a month than the total of coins created in 10 years combined.
The almighty OG coins like BTC and LTC haven't had a real pump like on the scale they used to have in the 2010s.
Unless there is some kind of undiluting happening soon with a sudden reversal to OGs coin (which won't happen in my opinion), i'm afraid crypto is experiencing a slow death similar to the heat death of our ever-expending universe.
